Sananga is a medicine made from the root of an Amazonian shrub, Tabernaemontana Undulata, which has alkaloids similar to Iboga. The medicine has been used by indigenous groups for thousands of years in the Amazon to  dilute Panema, which is believed to be the energetic force behind disease. It has also been used to sharpen vision before hunting in the rainforest.

The root is shredded and made into a yellow/brown liquid that is applied through eye drops. It causes a strong burning sensation for 3-15 minutes, which clears the vision to see the world more vibrantly and colorfully.

On a physical level, Sananga is linked to treating eye infections, sinusitis, chronic headaches, glaucoma, cataracts, astigmatism, conjunctivitis, dry/red eyes, photophobia, and keratoconus. On an energetic and spiritual level, it aids in the decalcification of the pineal gland to open the third eye and emotionally balances the user.

Sananga may be used before or after Kambo or other medicines to also aid in clearing detox residue from the eyes.
